My Achievements

I was in a bad mood once - had some problems at work, some with car, a little more with house and so on. The time was really not fun and I felt like completely lost. Then I thought about why am I like that. Haven't I done anything worthwhile? Aren't there things that I should be proud of? I needed some thing to motivate me. I knew there were, and many of them, I just couldn't remember clearly most of them. I tried to recall the things I did which made me happy at that time. But I couldn't. This is how the idea of the new section in the app was born - My Achievements.

As the first step, we've added the achievements to the goal section. Once you reach a goal, if you are really happy with it and want that happiness feeling to stay for long, write it down to the My Achievements. Later on, when you return to this section, it will make you feel better, give you strength to move further, will motivate you.

To save the goal as an achievement, use top-right 3-dots menu 'To achievement' on the goal page, or, long-click on the goal achieved on the role page and use same 'To achievement' section. Modify the text as you want, choose the difficulty level of the goal, click Add. The goal must be finished for you to be able to add it - can't cheat the system :)

Goals differ from person to person, from roles to roles. In the context of our app, they maybe as simple as doing today's laundry and as big and tough as passing an exam with A grade, maybe after 3rd try. Not every goal is actually an achievement, but rather a general task you do regularly. Because of this, use this section wisely, adding important achievements, so that later, when you return to them, they do motivate you.

  1. I like the App. Are you planning a web version that will sync with the App? Its easier to type while I'm at work on the computer. Texting is not allowed on the job and even though I'm not necessarily texting, I would be holding my phone alot. Astrid was like this but after they got bought out by Yahoo, they shut down.

  2. andtek - A syncable Web app would be awesome!! Mobile app could be used for reminders and daily planning but larger screen web app would be awesome for broad view and life planning.

  3. Hello. I've known this great app for a long time, I did fill some roles and goals, but I forgot about it though. Now I need more motivation, so I want to use it more seriously. The web app would be nice, but cloud backup would be useful too (maybe dropbox, not only google). The achievements may be very, very helpful sometimes, however if it was possible to add achievements manually, not only from goals, maybe it would give more flexibility as someone might want to feed his/her motivation on things done earlier in life.:)

    1. You can use dropbox as well as google drive or any other system, that listens to special messages sent from our app. On our devices, both dropbox and gdrive do so, as well as some others. You have to have the apps installed on the device.

Regarding adding the accomplishment - we think it will let you try to cheat yourself. We agree that you need a way to write down your past achievements, but need first think a way to make this process not as easy as just writing down, so that you add only important items.

  5. Hi guys, this is brilliant.
This app really is helping me organise and get stuff done.

How do I backup through google drive, it's not clear and I would worry that stuff ive put in here could be lost forever. Which would be heartbreaking.

    Thanks for the awesome app.
