  1. Hi, thank you for making this.
I'm really fascinated by this app :)
Some things that you might to work on though:
1.Influence and concerns should be seperated.
2.Weekly worksheet for planning of time.
3.For the 4 quadrants of importance/urgency, have bigger quadrants and smaller font that so that everything that is within the quadrant is reflected.
    4. Allow a distinction between long term and short term goals in the roles page.

  2. Hi, Junwen,

Thanks a lot for comments and nice words :). Your points are very actual, let me try to comment on them:
    1. According to the book, influences are themselves concerns, with the only difference is that you have control over them and you should concentrate on them to be more productive. Here, this page is given for you to visualize that. Currently, it's pretty simple, but we're thinking of adding "description" or "details" section to it, so you can give more details to a concern/influence, what and why you think of it.

    2. Weekly worksheet is very poor now, we agree. Needs to be reworked to be calendar style or at least more visual, more cosy to use.

    3. It's not obvious, but you can click any quadrant on it's free space and you will see it half-page sized, with bigger font and and more place for details. You can click on "more" and choose "view" for an action - you will see it on a separate screen with full text, priorities, etc.

    4. That's what we thought about, too, thanks for pointing. We will add that.

  3. Добрый день. Здравствуйте.
I just discovered this today and I really like the idea. It is almost exactly what I need. I think if you had a desktop app that could sync with android you would have a 5 star product. In any event, I'm looking forward to see how this develops. Keep up the good work!!! I wish I could do what you did!

    1. Maybe at this point, a Desktop app with similar functionality might need too many porting and integration development, and might not be feasible. However, maybe you could port the app to Electron and make it a web app, thus people can use their computer to make plans for their lives, and use their phone to track their plans.

  4. Добрый день, Andrew :)

Thanks a lot for your words. Your support is actually what keeps us doing something, it motivates us better than anything else could :).

As regarding the desktop app - we agree that it is a great idea and would be a natural supplement. We might start writing one once we finish main parts of the mobile version.

  5. Hello,

I was looking for an application to help me organize my life, something more that just a simple task application.
I haven't found anything close to what I was looking for, before finding this little thing you are developing - and that shows much potential.

You have to think that not everyone will use that exactly in the way you thought about it - but in my opinion it will make for a great action/project planner.

Some things I didn't found and thought would be required and/or problems:

    1) At the time I write this comment, I just updated the app. After updating it won't open anymore, it just crashes from the start. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck. I have a LG P990 phone. This must be solved :))

    2) There was no link between the goals and the tasks/actions/projects. In the page with the four quadrants I could select a specific task, it said that is ordered by goal and it has no goal attached - but there was no way to attach one.
    3) Also, the "View" and "Edit" actions related to tasks were behaving odd...
    4) The tasks need to be linked to a calendar;
    5) You have to be able to set alarms for tasks or sub-tasks...

There probably were some other things but as the application do not function anymore this is all for now as I don't remember the other things :)

    I will keep in touch!

    Thanks,
    Stefan

  6. Hi Stefan,

Thanks a lot for your comments. As regarding the first issue, the FC - can you us give some details on what OS version your phone has?

We're getting error reports, but can't figure out what causes that error - on our local devices all work. So, any more detail would be of great help.

Thank you, we'll write on other points separately.

  9. Just updated to 0.7.7.1

I can go to the other screens, but when entering the tasks screen it crashes always...

Also, I was waiting for your comments regarding the rest of my initial post.

    Thanks,
    Stefan

  10. Stefan,

We found the cause of error, will roll out update now.

    Regarding your points:
    2) There was no link between the goals and the tasks/actions/projects.
    - you go slightly from a different side: you first define your role, then you set goals for your role, then add actions to reach those actions. This way, all your actions are within the context of roles and goals. If you add actions without any goal and role, it will be just action by itself.

    3) Also, the "View" and "Edit" actions related to tasks were behaving odd...
    - If you're talking about Actions and FirstThings page, View and Edit are not intuitive to some users, so there is a plan to change their behaviour.

    4) The tasks need to be linked to a calendar;
    - this is to be done

    5) You have to be able to set alarms for tasks or sub-tasks...
    - alarms are a good idea, but will probably do after main part is finished. Current reminder function is a kind of notification

    Really sorry for the delay.

    Best regards,
    AndTek

  11. Hello AndTek,

that is exactly the tool I searched for, Perfect! - 5 STARS.
At the moment I use every day a pen & paper for the Eisenhauer-Matrix (my daly to-do-list).

The app runs very well on my SmartPhone, but it do not look very nice at my tablet (Galaxy Tab 10.1n). The app is always vertical, so that i have to turn my tablett (normaly I work horizontaly). And the four quadrants are realy small (they have exactly the same (small) size like on my SmartPhone). It would be perfect if you would/could optimize the app for tablet use.

And here are some more ideas and wishes from me:

    1. At the overview (the four quadrants) you can not see very well which task/action is finished/done. If I see it correctly, the colour of the task changed in a kind of grey insted of white, if a task is finished. But it is difficult to the see the diffrent, because it is not crossed out. If I open a quadrant I see it very good, the font colour is grey and the word is crossed out.
(Okay, I could delete the task completly, but it is nessesary for me to motivate me during the day, so that I could see: "Oh, great i already crossed five (importent) tasks out. :-) )

    2. If you flag a task at the overview as "done", the colour don't change into the grey. If you open a quadrant and exit it, than the colour is changed. In my opinion it is nessesary to make a screenupdate after the change "done / don't done".

    3. I agree with Stefan, not everyone will use the app exactly in the way you thought about it. In my example I will use the "First Thinks First". In this special case it would be perfect if I could start the app directly with this part of the App. Maybe it is possible to add "personal Settings" to set each part of the app as "Start Screen".

    4. I use at least three diffrent Eisenhauer-matrixes.
    - a daly matrix for business/work
    - a long term matrix for business/work (tasks for the next months / years)
    - a private matrix for long term goals
Maybe it is possible to create more than only one matrix.

    5. Is it possible to close the keyboard and to select the new task automaticly, after I add a new task? That would reduce the quantities of clicks.

    6. Which function have the number 1, 2, 3, 4 in each quadrant? Without these numbers you could show always five tasks instead of only 4.

    7. And yes, a alarm function would be fine.

I'm looking forward to see how this develops. - Good luck!

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    1. Hi Thomas,

We want to ask you, and, in your face, other users, regarding the p. 3 in your suggestions, to be able to open the app directly to the First Things First screen.

There are 2 ways to implement it:

      1. android allows you to add 2 shortcuts to the application list, pointing to different pages. If we go this way, there will be 2 application item shortcuts in your app list, e.g.: My Effectiveness Habits and First Things First. They both will point to the same application, but different pages.

      2. create 1 item in your application list, create a settings option, on starting the application navigate to either page based on that option.

The first one feels very natural to us, it actually allows you to have 2 different names for those shortcuts, but it adds another app shortcut.

The second one has 1 shortcut, but might be a bit cumbersome some times, e.g., when you'll want to go to the Roles page (we often do want :-).

So, your ideas on the matter would be helpful.

      Best regards,
      AndTek

    2. Hi,

it is exactly like you say... Both ways have advantages and disadvantages.

I think number 1 have more advantages, because it is flexible.
You have many AppItems, but normaly you will copy only the apps to your home screen, which you will use very often. With this version everyone could select, if he/she want to copy both or only one of them to the home screen.

For me would be No. 2 also very fine. :-)

What is the status concerning the tablett version? - That would be perfect. :)

      Thanks in advance.

      Bye Thomas

  15. Hello AndTek,

here a further idea to improve your app (First Things).

On a Smartphone you can only see 4 items on each quadrant, but I gues most users will have more than only 4 items. You could offer a button to expand (zoom in) in one quadrant. In this view it is possible to see at least 10-12 items of this quadrant.

In this view you could offer to slide to the next left or right quadrant.

I'm looking forward to see the next versions of the App. - Good Luck.

Thanks and Best regards from Germany
    Bye Thomas

    ReplyDelete
  16. Thomas,

Thanks for the feedback. Good news are - such "zoom" exists - the Actions page. If you click on the Quadrant, at somewhere free from item (e.g., on the number of the quadrant) - that will lead you to the Actions page - there you will have more items, bigger font size, ability to switch between quadrants, ability to filter by goals.

Bad news are - since you haven't found that, it means it's not intuitive, so that's a work for us.

Also, can you tell a little bit more about screen size of your phone? It should show more than 4 items in FTF quadrant. For example, on my phone it shows 6 of them.

Thanks again for the feedback, we really appreciate it a lot.

    Best regards,

    1. Hi,

      thank you for your feedback...
Oh yes, of course that with the Action Page works. :-)

I use a Samsung Galaxy S2 and you are right, there are more than 4 ... In my case are there 5 1/2 items on each quadrant.

And on the Action page 6 items. On this page I would say it would be also possible to show 10-12 on a page.

    2. ok, it would be good if it could do that. As i do often use such features. I have tried many goal apps and yours is by far the best i really like the way you have set it up. Just disapointed about not being able to do repeated actions on daily basis as this action is generally found in other apps. It would show the progress of my goal and if i didnt complete such tasks the assigned days it would mean i am not really progressing. Hope that makes sense.

    5. Hi there,

i would like to +1 the original comment. It strikes me that quadrant 2/proactive tasks are more often than not repetitive!?! eg. exercising, educational reading, etc.

I have only recently downloaded your app, and am so far loving what I see, I haven't found another app that caters for the 7 habits approach so well. I agree that it would be great (actually, essential) to have a web app and/or Google Calendar/Tasks integration. I have been using GQueues up to now, which is a great application integrated into Google Cal/Tasks. Currently though their weakness is what you excel at and vice versa. Might be worth taking a look at their set up?

Very excited to see what's ahead! Keep up the good work,

Do you mean, repeating goals? Are you sure you want to repeat your goals? Can you give a simple example?

Usually, you have a goal and may have repeating actions. For example, the goal might be "keep the good shape", and the repeatinig action would be "do morning exercises".

There was additional proposal by one of the users to separate the goals into short-term/long-term, to have a filter on the FirstThings page, is it something like this?

  26. Dear Andtek,

    2. Hi AndTek,

In the book I mention there is a step by step guide to the First thing First method. The last step is evaluation, this step is meant to underline the accomplishment in a single unit (the currency of the Personal Integrity account).
I just noticed that you develop in parallel to this application (my effectiveness habits) an expenses tracking app (JustExpenses: Expense tracker).
Would it be possible to couple these two with the goal of tracking the reward of accomplished tasks and the withdraw in case of delaying of tasks?
For the amount of currency, I would start with something easy, like giving each action a value depending on the quadrant where it is found: Q4:0, Q3:1, Q1:2, Q2:3 and give the possibility to the user to add additional value if he feels right (everyone knows that some task requires more integrity than others).

My comments comes also from the fact that once an action is done, it can only be entirely deleted. Otherwise it will keep on be in the planning week. Once is deleted, it doesn't appear anymore anywhere. This is not bad in itself. However, keeping track of the accomplished action by moving them into an account would enable a better overview of the actions performed over time. Over the months it can also be a meter for the effectiveness of our weeks.

Best regards and a wish for a merry celebration period!

  28. Hi Andtek

I came across your app after a long search/browse in app market for a better to-app assistance app. I found that your app is completely different and much better and employs the 4 quadrant principle as is. Thanks for creating such a wonderful app. Like mentioned in the previous post, I am also looking forward for the windows version of the app to use in my laptop.

Also, could you please think about the option of adding accomplishments in the "first things" panel i.e. instead of showing completed tasks in strike through form, display them (along with their color code) in a separate tab below the 4 quadrants. This will add motivation to complete the tasks whenever you view the "first things" panel.

First of all, thanks a lot for your nice words, hope the app does help you. Sorry for such late reply, we had to switch our attention a bit to some other things for some time.

Regarding the option of seeing completed tasks on a separate panel - it's a good idea. The only problem is space required for such panel. Do you think we should a panel instead of Action details and Action inputs?

      Delete
    2. Hallo AndTek,

Thanks for your feedback to my query. Indeed I was a bit cryptic. what i meant is that it would be great to keep track of accomplishments with what is named by Covey & Merril a "personal integrity account".
For every action achieved during the week some credits are deposited in to the account. If actions are delayed then a withdrawal takes place.
This would be an integral part of an Evaluation of the week.

      regards

      Luca

To backup, on the main screen do:
Press 'menu' > 'Backup/Restore' > 'Backup'. It will create a file with the current date/time as the name, and extension *.bcp under the folder: /mnt/sdcard/MyHabits/backup/19092012_222330.bcp. 32. Hi
Only just started playing with the app: looks really useful but immediately wanted to get things rolling on it with big screen and a keyboard: I know time is finite and all: but one more vote for a desktop or web app that syncs automatically with the droid app.

  33. Hi,
Glad to find a more evolved planner. The only problem is that there is a learning curve. I must admit that I really hesitated for a while about using this app as it takes quite a lot of effort to put all the roles, actions, etc in. I therefore understand why so many people are asking for sync with other devices, for a desktop version or Google sync. After all we all have bad days and lose our devices.
That apart its a great initiative and I thank you for doing this public service. I'd like to offer my help but I don't have any android programming experience. But of course I can learn. Let me know if you guys need a helping hand.

  34. Hi, I'm not yet sure how to use this application. I've made the mission, influences, role and actions too but what to do next? how should I go about from now as I've laid the foundation now would really like to build upon. Can you pls make a video of explaining this whole thing most of the users get turned off due to the STEEP learning curve. its a promissing application but those who have not read the book (like me) its quite tedious. thanks

  36. I realize that the overall design of this application was following the ideas in Covey's book, but as I rewrote my own goals for the new year (on paper), I wrote three overall major goals. Under two of them, I listed sub-goals and tasks. Since those two goals dealt with my own body and spirit. No Roles were involved or are needed.

However, underneath the third goal "sprout" all the various roles of my life...and underneath those are task lists. So,it would be nice if I could put roles underneath goals...and tasks underneath roles. While I understand this is a difference in overall philosophy, I think making goals, roles, and tasks more flexible in their structure would make the app more flexible for users.

The only other thing I'd like to see would be the ability to drag-and-drop tasks on the Eisenhauer matrix. Holding a task in order to get the menu with the Move option on it to pop up seems to take forever.

    Thanks for making this app!

  38. Hi. First of all thanks for the app, it's been really helpful. The only concern I have is when I go to the detailed of an action and set a due date, for example during the week, it wont show on the Week Plan category.

    1. Hi Kirk, Thanks for your kind words. When you set the due date/time on the action page, it will trigger a notification in the notification bar of your phone/tablet. It is not connected with the weekly planning view. To havve your action appear on a day on that view, choose a day from the day dialog on the action page (press on the '(day)' textbox).

  39. I've been using your app since January. Recently, I tried Evernote. I decided it was probably a nice webapp, but it sure made for a junky Android app, especially on a tablet. So then I picked the Ultimate To-Do List... and loaded my 80+ goals into it and configured it to my liking.

So now I'm comparing what I like and don't like about each app, trying to figure out which one to "go with" from here on out.

What I love most about your app is the one key thing that makes it unique among the other apps: the Eisenhower Matrix... the fact that you provide a view like that, that it's color-coded, that each box is enlargeable and scrollable. That's fabulous! And I hesitate to live my life without it.

That said, I've noticed that I have yet to put anything in the "Not Important - Urgent" box. It would seem that anything that fits that category is something I simply do not add to the app.

With that in mind, I was able to apply the three other boxes, as concepts, to the Ultimate To-Do List's concept of "Priorities".. High, Medium, and Low... and then I use "Top" in order to build a "to do list specifically for today".

That app too comes with option-choices for "Goals" that you can create and that you can assign to a task when creating / editing it.

So, what's it got that your app doesn't have? The key weakness I find in your app is that the options and choices (and power, really) that lies within creating / editing Actions is NOT obvious, nor is it CLEAR. Choosing to have little dithered symbols like "(day)" and "(!!)" and "more.."... the way you've built your form for showing editing options and the Detailed Action editing page itself, is very unclear.

The Ultimate To Do List app offers what most people, I believe, are used to: A full-fledged form for creating and editing tasks (one that you can set up so as to disable options or set up standard defaults for new Actions).

Also, that tool allows you to choose to be a "Power User" and turn on and off features at your whim. (But I will admit, there are a few default "views" that appear in your "Views" menu that I personally consider clutter and would like to be able to remove. So they still have room for improvement.

One more thing: They offer "Tags", much like "Evernote" does for actions. Now at first, I didn't see the power in tags. However, when I started using the Ultimate To Do List, I mistakenly turned off the "Goals" feature. So when I went to add my goals, I started using custom "Tags" for my Goals like I had when I tried Evernote (which doesn't offer Goals at all). Now, eventually, I noticed "Goals" in my "Power User" options, activated them, and had to edit all my Actions to resort everything. But the lesson I took home from that is that Tags are a very powerful way to allow for user customization.

But of course, such tags aren't all that powerful UNLESS, you can create and edit VIEWS to take advantage of them. Ultimate To Do List offers that. In fact, most of their standard views can have their rules-for-what-to-display and sorting according to your liking.

Visually, Ultimate To Do List is much more about function than looks (and there is only a "light" vs. a "dark" color scheme) and I think it suffers there a bit in comparison to your app.

So, there are some key things that I feel make that tool more powerful than yours, but then, theirs costs $5 after a 14 day trial and yours is free. Yours is also younger in development, I'm sure.

And I have no way to create or display a view of my three main "Priorities" group into an Eisenhower Matrix - like view!

Gotta run. Thanks for all of the hard work you took in building this! I know how tough it is to be "the Lone Developer" !!

    1. Hi Dave,

Many thanks for this your post. It is very interesting to follow your logic in chosing one app over the other, it shows clearly your priorities as the user of an app like this. I can't argue any of the points you provide, it's useless and I don't think your intent was to argue about them - rather, to point to the possibilities for us to enhance it to help you make the right decision, maybe :).

At this moment, I'm supporting the app myself (my partner is busy), and, as you noted, it's really hard to find time to work on it, given that I have full-time job, family. Lately I tried to devote all my free time fully to my now 10-month son, which slowed the development greatly, but I think it's needless to say it is worth every second I've had with him and my beloved other part.

We are very well aware of all the required features our app lacks. If I say we're trying to meet them, one would ask 'where's the result' and would probably be fairly right. But we're actually working on them at the speed we can afford.

By the way, I myself have several other apps installed on my devices, not because I compare the features on them and the way they're implemented (which of course I do :)), but rather because I'm highly dissatisfied with the Habits in several things and try to find something better. And I just installed the Ultimate to do list - will try it out, thank you :)

Again, thanks a lot for your sincere description. I understand your position very well and would be glad if your chose the other app at the end, deciding it suits you better.

  40. Hi ,

Its one of the rare android app which can cater almost all the audience . Nice concept.I have been using it extensively . But i Strongly felt one feature should have been part of this app .

Being supporting to achieve a mission/goal is ultimate aim of this app . It really misses a feature by which we can track the progress of certain goal if its time bound .
If we add actions to a SMART objective/time bound or tangible goal then whenever we execute action associated with that goal ..it should track that would really people keep motivate all the time .

To build an effective habit , tracking the progress is must. Weekly Planner GUI interface could have much more cool GUI and colors ..

Thanks a ton for all the effort you put in this application . This is going to evolve one of the best in productivity category. lets all promote this app

  43. Hello,

I've been using the app for two weeks now and have been pleased with my experience. This is a great concept and I look forward to seeing it develop further.

Some bugs. I am using a Nexus 4 with Android 4.2.2. Also, as a new user, some of these bugs may simply be my incompetence:

    - I cannot save an edited title (of a goal, action etc) in portrait orientation. I can edit the title, but there is no "done" icon to press in order to save the title. Such an icon does appear in landscape orientation.

    - If I am in the middle of editing text, it resets if I try to switch from one orientation to the other (e.g. landscape to portrait)

    - Setting an action for, say, a week Tuesday appears to be impossible. Setting the "day" will make it show up on every Tuesday on the week plan, and setting the reminder does not make it show up on the week plan on the day of the reminder.

    - On the same lines as the last bug, old tasks seem to show up on the same day every week, even if they have already been completed and even if recurrence is set to "once".

Some ideas to improve the experience:

    - Allow the user to select his or her own colours for squares! For example, I might prefer to think of "important but not urgent" actions as blue rather than red.

    - It is hard to start using the app, and this might scare away would-be users. A tutorial would be excellent (of course, perhaps more practical to set this up once the app is out of beta).

    - Allow syncing with Google Calendar.

Great app! Looking forward to updates.

    Thanks,

    Delyle

    Three features i would suggest..
    1. The ability to track progress.. e.g if i have to take 12 interviews by 2nd, and today i have completed 6, i should be able to update status and see that.
    2. Timer feature in the first and third quadrants.. refer pomodero technique
    3. The ability to see due dates, status in the squares..we should be able to expand the goals and see individual tasks under those goals.
Thanks once again, and wish you good luck

Just like Junwen wrote November 16 - thank you for making My Effectiveness Pro.

    - add 'Notes, Thoughts and Ideas' widget so it can be quickly accessed
    - it would be helphul to choose 'once a year' when setting action's recurrence, so eg. birthdays can be putted into calendar
    - Week Plan - it would be useful to switch between weeks by simple moving finger right/left on the 'day bar. What I'm trying to say - navigation between weeks can be improve.

  66. Hello! I'd like to start by saying that your program is THE BEST I've used for organizing my priorities - and I've tried a lot of them. I have recommended it to many people for that reason.

I just switched to an iPhone and was incredibly bummed when I found out there isn't a version available on the iPhone. Are you any closer to developing one? It would be especially helpful to me now that I just completed a 4-day 7 Habits training :)

  67. Hello andtek,
    great app, I'm learning it.
One idea that none of todo apps (afaik) have: some tasks have uncertain future by their nature. If you are lucky and you complete it, then Ok. However if you miss it, you don't have the opportunity to retry. But you did try. So its unfair to "delete" the task as if never existed. And it is cheating to check it as if you did it (because you didn't). Hence there must be some third category as "failed due to ...".
Those three dots can help also to the procrastinators. What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Good idea, I myself often face such thoughts with similar tasks. My current approach is to leave them for some time and either delete completely or restart or create new ones based on them. And I have thought about such category, too. Just afraid it will lead to over-complication maybe. Will see, it's good to see not only you have similar issues and ideas :)

  73. Hello AndTec,

Wow, what an incredible organising app you made! Was looking for a long time to find such an app!
As many others, I too have some tips for perfection.
    1. Looks are important. If my screen is messy (many colours forced on you by diferent widgets have that effect), my mind gets messy, too. It would be awesome to have also the widget skin, that is transparrent as it becomes one with the background with just choice of white or black letters. Possibility to set colour for first things first squares, would make it even better.
Another thing I miss is the possibility to use it with my google calendar, where I keep and share (or not) my most important events. The platform is just unpractical, but I can get to it wherever I am, from whatever device I have access to and share the events, too. That is incredibely important to me. Is there such feature, or possibility to import/export/sync data comming?
All the rest of the app is incredible and I haven't find such a great app (and I tried a lot of them).

Thanks for great job done and even more for everything yet to come.

(!!) — in tasks, what does the abcdef mean? Not clear.

Week view : could we have it display all the tasks for the week? And can we have more intuitive way to look at other weeks and whole months

Can we classify goals as short medium and long term, and add a filter for this in the main first things first menu?

First things first - could it be made that if you double tap on a colour at bottom of screen that it opens that colour panel? Can we improve the date filter to filter by week, month, or year?

Side menu : can roles be renamed to roles & goals so more intuitive

Influences - can we tie influences to goals or actions?

Just some ideas but there are more! Thanks for the great work

    1. Hello David,

All are good points, will try to implement them one by one. Thank you! The ABCDEF means priority when showing an action in various lists with other actions - those with A are shown above those with B, etc. We are currently thinking of changing this system a bit - we need a priority system that would work consistently across different lists.

  77. Hello!
After reading Stephen Coveys book, the first thing that came to mind was having a way to automate his insights.. I was using an excel spreadsheet, but then, finding your app was like finding an oasis in the desert. You're probably well aware how life changing your work is, and I couldn't thank you enough. The app is amazing!

I would like to suggest some changes that for my use could be improvements, and I believe other people could enjoy:

1)Set action by role. When you create a new Action/ Checklist/Project you have the option of attaching it to a goal, which is awesome. However, it would be nice having the option to attach it to a role, regardless of it's goals. Like, imagine a role with 4 goals. You could set an action to one of the goals, or set it just to the role itself. Sometimes some actions are just everyday tasks not completely relatable to a goal, so setting a goal for them just for ornanization purposes is time consuming.

2)Log all done actions. All actions done should be archived in achievements automatically. And you could be able to filter this done actions by role, goal, date, etc... This way, you could analyze, ideally with the help of charts, how much of your time you spent in each role for example, also, ideally, ranking the actions by delays, so you can quickly find which role in your life is getting behind, or is consuming most of you.

3)Weekly planner with hourly whole week view. The app is 1000 times better than the spreadsheet I was using before, but the drawback for me was the weeky planner. It would be nice to have a whole week view with the days in the X axis and the time of the day in the Y axis, in a whole week view, similar to google calendar. This way you get that quick but valuable view of your week, even helping to plan appointments and errands based on your already set to-dos

PS.: Have you ever contacted Franklin Covey foundation about this app? I'm sure Stephen Covey himself would love it, and I'm sure they would be open for a marketing and funding partnership for your app!

I didn't review your app in Play Store for I don't have a Google + account and I don't intend to, but coun't me in as a full 5 star review.

Thank you for your time and effort in making this avaliable.

PS.: With more integration and flexibility, I would definitely subscribe to a payed version of this, and I'm sure I'm not alone on this.

  79. Could you add the possibility to transfer the notes direct to goals and actions. It will be very useful in connections with google task syncing "notes"

  80. HI,

I am very much happy using your app.

I have a project with some sub actions in it. The project is kept in second quadrant, when I open the matrix I am able to see only the project and not the sub actions. Can you please clarify.

  82. I would love it if I could sync with my to do list as it offers me a better overview for weekly planning but I would like to finish it in your app

  85. Cara...

    Sucesso. Esse app é maravilhoso!

  86. Hi! There are few improvements which will make all the difference in this already amazing app which I use since the first release:

    1. Statistics of habits
    2. Web interface to facilitate writing
    3. Hashtags to better organize and even link with other amazing apps such as Evernote and Todoist

Excellent job, a lot of success to you!

  87. Could finished tasks be sorted under unfinished ones? Now if the list is long, I need to scroll down through all the finished tasks to see if there is anything on the bottom of the list, that I might forget about.

    4. The sorting is ok to me.

But I came here to ask if there is a way to remove the completed actions from the lists, but without removing them completely from the app.

I like to keep track of what has been done or not, or to eventually go check some details of old actions (notes, priorities, eventual subtasks, etc).

At the moment when I click "Clear done" is not really clear what gets deleted; from the name I would expect all my completed actions (the ticked texts) to be removed; but they stay there.

In general an option to "hide/show completed" would be less maybe useful.

But still am not sure what the "Clear done" function does. What is considered as "done"? Is it referred to the Actions or to something else? (goals?)
And is it destructive? (does it remove completely without any option to recover the info about the completed actions?)

  88. You should think about Chrome version synchronizing with Android version.

  89. Is there an API for this app? Would be cool to setup something that I could access my tasks from command line or simple web app?

    1. An API would be great. That would open the door to external implementations of the app for different platforms by contributors.
I'd be glad to help for a web version as well.
